The Ganjam Collector has directed officials not to leave their headquarters and remain prepared for immediate rescue and relief operations if required. Key departments including tehsils, blocks, electricity and fire services have been asked to stay ready. Cyclone shelters across the district are also being kept prepared for possible evacuation. Authorities have advised people to avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain and thunderstorms and remain in safe places during lightning activity.
