The idea of the build is to use pistols as a horde clear + Hunter activation tool and use melee vs elites+monsters. Very important technique when using pistols is: When at ~50% heat - 2 blasts - vent - repeat = grants ~60% damage boost whilst being basically unaffected by attack speed penalty, since venting allows you to skip the animation slow down. This is useful for repeatedly blasting hordes but also vital when switching weapons. 2nd technique is that at low heat pistols shoot very fast making it the best time to activate Hunter for melee damage. 3rd is that at ~60% heat, it takes ~3-4 bodyshots to kill specials. 2 shots for assassins. There is a few choices for melee weapon, I like great axe for its generally speaking good dps, including vs monsters, although attack speed and mobility are painful. I also like 1h Hammer - it's faster and more defensive which is useful for more difficult game settings (and better if you are not used to 2h weapons without attack speed bonuses). Other good choices are dual hammers, coghammer and greathammer. Greathammer is superior in particular vs cws but quite worse vs hordes. Dual hammers are solid in general but I don't like them. Coghammer is very good overall. Vengenace is an interesting talent but it doesn't work with nurgle's rot deed effect and I think it's in general pretty terrible since it has pretty low uptime and very long cooldown. I got pretty lucky with the team, since all three were giving some sort of bonus crit chance for me to get more consistent Swift Slaying & Hunter + a decent team comp in general for the setting we've played. The setting wasn't too difficult and deed was ideal for this build, but I wasn't hosting and host wanted to set it all up by his own accord, so I didn't argue.
