HONDA VFR400R NC21 Engine install, removal and refit.

So the time has come to refit the engine back into the frame. Having looked at the manual and seeing that to put the engine back in the frame I had to some how lift the bike up into the air so the engine could be put in from underneath was a little challenging but using the improvise adapt and overcome meme I got it sorted. After fitting the engine into the frame and seeing how little room there was to get the rear exhaust down pipes in place, I had another read of the manual and seeing it says the rear exhaust down pipes should be fitted to the engine whilst removed from the frame. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to film the removal and refitting process but I’m sure you can get the idea. I will be getting all the cooling system refitted soon so I can concentrate on sorting out the carbs that are in desperate need of a really good service, which will involve a complete strip down and cleaning in the ultrasonic cleaner. I only have a small cleaner so I might have to brake the carbs down into single units, if this happens then I will make a point of replacing all the o’rings which are in the fuel rails.
