I DYED MY HAIR BLUE! Yes, I actually did it. In A Day In A Life Ep.22, I decided it was finally time to do something completely different with my appearance and went to Gooday Beautie Parlour in Singapore for one of my boldest transformations yet — a brand-new haircut and BLUE HAIR! If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that this definitely isn't my usual look. But that was exactly the point. I wanted to step outside my comfort zone, become a little bolder and experiment with a completely different hairstyle and hair colour. Sometimes you just feel like changing things up. New hairstyle. New colour. New look. And hopefully, new energy! So rather than going for another safe haircut, I decided: why not actually do something that people are going to NOTICE? BLUE HAIR IT IS. For this transformation, I visited Gooday Beautie Parlour, a salon that I've also been working with professionally as one of my social media marketing clients. That made this episode particularly interesting for me because instead of simply creating content about their haircut and hair colouring services, I decided to experience the service myself and become the transformation! This episode takes you along for the process as I get my hair done and reveal a completely different version of myself at the end. And I'll admit... Seeing myself with BLUE HAIR for the first time was definitely an experience! The idea behind this video wasn't simply about changing my hair colour. It was also about being willing to experiment. As a content creator, entrepreneur and someone working constantly with different businesses, I spend a lot of time thinking about branding, presentation and how something as simple as a visual change can completely alter people's first impression. We often become comfortable with a particular version of ourselves. And there's nothing necessarily wrong with that. But every once in a while, I think it's fun to do something unexpected. For me, this was one of those moments. I wanted something BOLD. Something DIFFERENT. Something that would make me look in the mirror and immediately realise “Okay... this is definitely new!” And Gooday Beautie Parlour gave me exactly that opportunity. Since Gooday is also one of the businesses I work with for social media marketing, I thought this transformation would be a great way to showcase some of the salon services from an actual customer's perspective. Instead of just telling people that a salon provides haircut and hair colouring services, why not actually sit in the chair and go through the transformation myself? So that's exactly what I did. From my original black hair to the final blue look, this episode gives you a closer look at my hair transformation while also showcasing Gooday Beautie Parlour's haircut and hair colouring services. A Day In A Life has always given me an opportunity to show you what happens beyond the food reviews. They're one of my social media marketing clients, so this was also an opportunity to combine my creator life with my marketing work.
