Lakshmi Mittal Shifts to Dubai: What Is Naïa Island and why is he Shifting Base from the UK

Lakshmi Mittal, the Indian-origin steel billionaire and chairman of ArcelorMittal, is reportedly relocating his primary base from the UK to Dubai’s ultra-luxury Naïa Island. The 72-year-old, who has been one of Britain’s wealthiest residents for decades, is moving his family and business amid proposed UK tax reforms, including potential wealth and inheritance tax changes. Naïa Island is a man-made private island off the coast of Jumeirah, developed for ultra-high-net-worth individuals. The island offers low-rise villas, private beachfronts, direct beach access, and a dedicated marina. It will also feature the region’s first Cheval Blanc Maison by LVMH, providing luxury hospitality, wellness, and concierge services. Villas start at AED 45 million, with larger estates costing significantly more. Property owners can also qualify for the UAE’s 10-year Golden Visa. Mittal has already purchased a villa on the island, with custom plots ranging from 21,000 to 48,000 square feet. This move reflects a growing trend of billionaires relocating to tax-friendly jurisdictions while investing in exclusive real estate and lifestyle destinations. Dubai’s Naïa Island is emerging as a benchmark for luxury island living for the global elite. #lakshmimittal #naiaisland #dubai #unitedkingdom #lakshmimittaluk Welcome to India TV English News!
