My Birthday Nearly Ended in TRAGEDY! 😱 I Almost Drowned in Bosnia & Herzegovina 🇧🇦

My birthday in Bosnia & Herzegovina took a terrifying turn! 😱🇧🇦 What was supposed to be a fun birthday celebration in Drežnica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, almost ended in tragedy when I accidentally stepped into a deeper part of the river and fell into the water — despite having no swimming experience. For my birthday, my Bosnian friend Barikelo took me to the beautiful Drežnica River to celebrate. I met many friendly locals, made new friends, took pictures with them, and experienced the warmth and curiosity of the local community. ❤️🇧🇦 But within the first few minutes of arriving, things suddenly went wrong. I decided to enter the shallow part of the river, carefully following the path Barikelo had cleared for me. Unfortunately, I stepped into a deeper section, lost my footing and fell into the water! Thankfully, Barikelo was right there and quickly rescued me. 🙏🏾 After that scary moment, I continued enjoying my birthday with everyone, had a delicious fish lunch, and even tried fishing for the first time in Drežnica! This was definitely a birthday I will never forget — from the beautiful nature of Drežnica and the Drežnica River, to meeting amazing Bosnian locals, eating traditional food, trying fishing, and surviving an unexpected near-drowning experience.
