Lochranza to Tarbert via Kames in Scotland. August 2025. Sailing Catalac catamaran.

We left Lochranza on the Isle of Arran, crossed the Sound of Bute and sailed up the West Kyle to Kames. Our new mainsail performed well and we had a smooth crossing. There are visitor moorings in front of the hotel and we moored there for one night and enjoyed a meal at the hotel. The next leg was to Tarbert, motoring all the way as there was next to no wind. Tarbert Castle was a highlight for us to visit, as well as the picturesque scenery of the area. Disclaimer: this video is for entertainment purposes.
