Born in Lebanon and raised in France, Ibrahim Maalouf studied music at the highest level worldwide at the Paris Conservatoire, and within a few years had become one of the most promising young classical trumpeters of the modern era, winning a series of prestigious international competitions. In "Trumpets of Michel-Ange", Ibrahim Maalouf decides to return to his roots and organize a celebration to honor his legacy. The photograph on the album cover is no coincidence. Taken in 1925 in the village of Kafarakab, in the mountains of Lebanon, where Ibrahim Maalouf’s family comes from, his grandfather poses with his band. The story of "Trumpets of Michel-Ange" describes the journey of two young people who met, fell in love (Fly with me), were loved (Love Anthem), got married (The Proposal), had children (The smile of Rita), and divorced (Au Revoir). The children grew up, left, but they carry their own legacy. For Ibrahim Maalouf, it was music. The trumpet with four valves that he wants to make famous all over the world! I admire Ibrahim Maalouf in general, but Au Revoir is my favorite track by him. I loved it from the first time i heard it!
