As a live and session guitarist, having a backup of my rig gives me peace of mind in the event a valve (tube) blows, or something goes wrong with my pedal board. On top of this, stage space is a massive premium - especially when cramming a 7-piece country band like 52nd State onto tiny venue stages. After knocking my SM57 off its stand one too many times, I’ve decided to completely digitise my live rig. In this video, I’m cloning my massive 40-watt tube amp and physical pedalboard to see if the Neural DSP Nano Cortex can handle the gig completely direct-to-front-of-house.
