Why Nobody Has Replaced the Only Two Bridges to Cape Cod

The Sagamore and Bourne bridges are the only road onto Cape Cod and the only road off it. Both opened in 1935, were designed to last fifty years, and still run four ten-foot lanes with no shoulder.
