Hey beautiful humans, Ash here 💙 I’m down at Waihirere Domain, not far from where I live. It’s such a beautiful area and so quiet. Hardly anyone from our town seems to visit here, which makes it feel like a bit of a hidden treasure. I recorded this 1 hour ambient guitar sound journey right here beside the river/creek, allowing the natural sounds of the flowing water to become part of the experience. For this one I used electric guitar and an ambient drone for a slightly different vibe, while still keeping the water and sounds of nature at the heart of the music. The guitar and ambient layers are tuned to 444Hz, with 528Hz and 396Hz naturally occurring within the scale of the melody. 528Hz is often associated with the frequency of the heart and transformation, while 396Hz is traditionally associated with releasing fear, guilt and shame. I love bringing these frequencies together with the natural resonance of the environment and allowing the music to unfold organically alongside the sounds of the river. It’s the middle of winter here but somehow I’m still out here barefoot in usual Ash fashion 😂 There’s something about being beside moving water that makes everything slow down.
