The man You long to know | CMM

A prayer for the man who wants to be better — a better man, a better father, a better leader — but knows he can’t do it on his own. Not my strength, but Yours. Not my name, but Yours. Make me the man You long to know. If you’ve ever stood in the yard or sat at the table and quietly asked God to shape you into who He wants you to be, this one’s for you. ================== You've given much, yet I need more Shape what You've started, Lord I have a heart that wants to grow Make me the man You long to know Not by my strength or my will Only by the One who fills Teach me to walk as Jesus walked Teach me the Shepherd ways You taught Make me a good man by Your grace Rooted in Your Word, not my ways Make me a father who loves like You Patient and kind, teaching what's true Make me a leader who serves, not rules Humble heart, Spirit my fuel Mold me God, more into You When I fail the ones You've given When pride leads instead of listening Call me back to the cross again Let Your mercy be my friend Wisdom for the days I can't see Give me courage and integrity Not by my strength or my will Only by the One who fills Teach me to walk as Jesus walked Teach me the Shepherd ways You taught Make me a good man by Your grace Rooted in Your Word, not my ways Make me a father who loves like You Patient and kind, teaching what's true Make me a leader who serves, not rules Humble heart, Spirit my fuel Mold me God, more into You Do justly, love mercy, walk humble Inspire me, don't let me stumble Watchful and firm, strong in love Acting like a man led by power from above Hold me, mold me, keep me wholehearted Make me a good man by Your grace Rooted in Your Word, not my ways Make me a father who loves like You Patient and kind, teaching what's true Make me a leader who serves, not rules Humble heart, Spirit my fuel Mold me God, more into You More into You Not my strength, but Yours Not my name, but Yours Make me the man You long to know Mold me God, more into You
