Ron Luck has been designing and building airplanes for 40+ years, and his latest creation — the Comp Air 6.2 — delivers serious private jet performance at a fraction of the cost. This 6-seat, carbon-fiber kit aircraft cruises at 225 knots, carries over 3,000 lbs of useful load, and burns just 38 GPH. In this video, George Hammerbeck from HammerSport Films flies with Ron Luck and Alex Kowtun to experience the climb, speed, and handling of this homebuilt turboprop. With performance numbers rivaling aircraft like the Caravan, but at a lower price point and lighter feel in the controls, the Comp Air 6.2 is a unique entry in private aviation. ✈️ Timestamps – In this demo, we cover: 0:00 – Meet Ron Luck, designer of 18 aircraft 0:20 – The Airshark and world record history 0:38 – Introduction to the Comp Air 6.2 1:03 – Where it fits vs. Caravan & 206 1:19 – How the kit build works 2:05 – Flight impressions & 45° takeoff 2:44 – Stability and crosswind handling 3:01 – Fuel burn and cruise performance 3:14 – Price vs. Cirrus and Caravan 3:25 – Wrap up at Oshkosh 📌 Key Details 6-seat, carbon-fiber, kit-built turboprop 225 knot cruise speed *3,200 lbs useful load (similar to Caravan) Fuel burn ~38 GPH at cruise 230 gallon fuel capacity Priced around $1.1M 🌐 Links & Credits Comp Air Aviation – Official Website: https://compairaviation.com/ Alex Kowtun Website: https://www.alexkowtun.com/ Instagram:   / successful   Filmed & produced by George Hammerbeck — HammerSport Films / HammerSport Marketing IG:   / georgehammerbeck     / hammerbeckfilms   Website: https://hammersportmarketing.com/ 📢 Subscribe for more aviation test flights, kit plane builds, and high-performance aircraft reviews from HammerSport Films. 🔖 #CompAir62 #Turboprop #PrivateAircraft #KitPlane #ExperimentalAircraft #HomebuiltAircraft #Aviation #Oshkosh #HammerSportFilms
