For most of my life, I've been scared. I live with panic disorder and social anxiety and for a long time I let fear decide what I could and couldn't do. But now, I'm preparing to move to the other side of the world to study law at Cornell University, an Ivy League university in New York. The truth is, I'm still scared. In this video, I want to talk about what it's really like to live with anxiety while trying to build a life that feels bigger than your fears. I share my experience with exposure therapy, what I've learned about the anxious brain and why I've started doing things scared instead of waiting until I feel ready. One of the biggest things I've learned is that avoiding what scares you can make the fear grow. But by gradually facing those situations, you can teach your brain that they aren't always as dangerous as they feel. If you're struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, or the fear of being alone, I hope this video makes you feel a little less alone. Maybe the goal isn't to stop being scared. Maybe it's to stop letting fear make all our decisions.🤍 #anxietyawareness #panicdisorder #socialanxiety #exposuretherapy #cornelluniversity #lawstudent #mentalhealth
