Leaving the coast behind, I headed to the serene backwaters of Bentota for one of the most exciting nature experiences in Sri Lanka—the famous Bentota River Safari! 🚤 We navigated deep into dense mangrove tunnels, spotted huge water monitors swimming alongside the boat, and even got close encounters with wild crocodiles sunbathing along the riverbank.
