🇮🇳 Welcome to Haridwar, India! Join me on an unforgettable journey to Mansa Devi Temple — a place where devotion, colour, traditions and extraordinary energy come together. Our adventure begins with a scooter ride through Haridwar towards the temple. What follows is an experience full of surprises! 🌺 Colourful markets overflowing with flowers, puja thalis, laddoos and religious offerings. 🙏 Enormous crowds of devotees patiently making their way towards the shrine, determined to present their offerings and receive the blessings of Goddess Mansa Devi. ❤️ One of my favourite Indian traditions — when someone calls out the name of a deity and suddenly everyone responds together with a joyful "Jai!" I witnessed this many times during my travels across India, and it never stopped fascinating me. 🌳 And then came the wishing tree! I discovered the beautiful tradition of tying a sacred red thread while making a wish. Naturally, I couldn't resist taking part myself! Along the way, I explored smaller shrines, received tikkas, admired sacred inscriptions and investigated practically every corner of the temple. And finally, a wonderful open cable car ride down the hillside, with fresh air and panoramic views of Haridwar. For me, travelling through India has always been about more than sightseeing. It's about experiencing traditions, meeting people, embracing unfamiliar cultures and discovering something new about myself. This journey was sometimes chaotic, occasionally exhausting, often amusing, and deeply memorable. 🎶 Featuring original Indian-inspired folk music created for this video.
