Audi has officially revealed the all new Audi A2 e-tron, a new compact electric car designed specifically for European customers, and positioned as the most energy-efficient production model in the company’s history. According to Audi, the most efficient version of the A2 e-tron consumes just 12.8 kWh per 100 km, while maximum driving range reaches 646 kilometers. Aerodynamics play an important role, with the electric model achieving a drag coefficient of 0.24, the best figure among Audi’s compact models. The new electric Audi A2 will be available with 52 kWh, 61 kWh and 84 kWh batteries, alongside four different power outputs ranging from 170hp and 350 Nm, to 320hp and 545 Nm of torque. All versions use rear-wheel drive, while regenerative braking offers four selectable levels, including one-pedal driving. Audi is also bringing bidirectional charging to the A2 e-tron. Vehicle-to-Load technology allows the EV battery to power external devices, while compatible versions can use Vehicle-to-Home technology to supply electricity back to a household in selected European markets. Inside, the Audi A2 e-tron features an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and a 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen as standard. Buyers can also get a 1.6-square-meter panoramic glass roof, AI-powered Audi assistant and connected services including Microsoft Teams and Outlook integration. Production will take place at Audi’s Ingolstadt plant in Germany.
