A Seasonal Ranger Left the Station Without His Radio

A Seasonal Ranger Left the Station Without His Radio A seasonal ranger stationed alone at a remote outpost in the southern Cascades does something no trained wilderness worker would ever do — he deliberately leaves his radio behind and walks into a drainage no one has ever explored. When a fire prevention technician arrives two days later, she finds his logbook open, blood on the counter, and the radio still on its charger with a full charge. What the search teams discover in the drainage below defies every rational explanation. This is her account.
