As you probably already know, every society must have a political system in order to maintain recognized procedures for allocating valued resources. In large, complex societies, many decisions must be made about the rights and responsibilities of citizens. For a society to be orderly, its members must obey the rules that are established. A society’s political institution determines and enforces the laws as well as punishes those who disobey them. This video will discuss the two major political systems in the world: democracy and totalitarianism.
