Four degrees below zero, six metres under the sea, two levels below the ground floor: how can each be written with one number? Meet negative numbers and their minus sign, read
and place numbers on a number line through zero, upright like a thermometer or across like a ruler, and compare them in context: the lower number is the colder temperature, the
deeper point, the lower floor. Then order four divers, find how far a gull is from a diver, and meet opposite numbers.
Timestamps (measured on the final):
0:00 — Three positions
0:41 — One minus sign
1:10 — Positive and negative
