We Found a City Full of Sleeping Zombies. Then Someone Woke Them Up

Four years after the zombie outbreak, our salvage team entered a city everyone else had learned to avoid. The streets looked abandoned, but the buildings were still full of infected. Most of them weren't roaming anymore. They were sitting in dark rooms, stores, garages and hallways, almost completely motionless. We only needed medicine, freezer parts and supplies to get our settlement through winter. For two days, everything worked. We moved quietly, avoided gunfire and tried not to wake anything we didn't have to. Then someone turned on the city's emergency sirens. This is a complete zombie apocalypse survival story about a salvage mission that turns into a fight to escape an entire city waking up around them. A grounded post-apocalyptic horror story focused on survival, difficult choices, limited resources and ordinary people trying to make it home.
