I’ve had this horn for over a year now and I’ve finally got a good run by of it. This has been one of the highest horns on my wish list for over eight years now. I live very close to where the Erie Lackawanna Chicago line went through and I also live near the longest remaining stretch of EL trackage which is now RJ Corman. The EL cab car SU3L’s are quite common, but finding a horn off one of the diesels that would’ve gone through this area was seemingly near impossible. At the end of the day, it’s just a run-of-the-mill SU3L with a cool manifold, but to me, this horn means so much more. This horn needed a ton of work but thanks to Muha, this horn has a second life! This has the factory shaved 31 bell, close 25/31, and the “SU3L-LRO” tag. For those of you that know me, you’ll know that I absolutely despise Conrail for murdering the EL so at some point this winter, I’m going to carefully strip the Confail blue paint off to reveal the EL grey underneath. More to come on that. If you have any questions on what you have seen in this video, feel free to ask and I’ll reply ASAP! These videos are NOT made for kids. Train horns are illegal to use in most states and can be very dangerous to your hearing health if proper hearing protection is not used. Made with Splice
