Justice has no Gender: Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal at Ekam Nyaay Dialogue, Chandigarh

JUSTICE HAS NO GENDER. Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, delivered the inaugural address at the Ekam Nyaay Dialogue Chandigarh, highlighting the urgent need to address the growing concerns and atrocities faced by men and the lack of adequate institutional support. Dr. Mittal, who has presented a Private Members’ Bill seeking the establishment of a National Commission for Men, spoke about the increasing cases of husband murders, suicides and violence against men. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised that “violence, suffering and pain have no gender” and called for a more balanced and inclusive approach to justice. He also appreciated the efforts of Ekam Nyaay Foundation in bringing these issues into public discourse and taking active steps towards creating awareness and advocating for equal justice. The Ekam Nyaay Dialogue – Chandigarh brought together members of the legal fraternity, policymakers, academics, activists and citizens for meaningful discussions on justice, legal reform and the need for a balanced and gender-neutral approach to law.
