Dragon Peak and Kearsarge Peak: The Infamous Eastern Sierra Traverse

Dragon Peak and Kearsarge Peak are two SPS peaks that can be combined into a single day hike out of the Onion Valley Trailhead in the Eastern Sierra. The Sierra Club rates Dragon Peak class 3 with a class 4 summit block, though I didn't find the traverse to be too difficult physically or mentally. While the day's mileage was low, the off-trail nature of the hike and my lack of fitness made this a tiring but enjoyable outing.
