Japan just shocked the world with what they're building: robotaxis, humanoid robots, 2-nanometer chips, and its own satellite navigation. Here's what is real, and what is only a plan. In 2025, Waymo began testing in Tokyo. At Haneda Airport, a humanoid robot is learning to move luggage. In Hokkaido, a company founded in 2022 is racing to make Japan's most advanced chips. None of this came with one big announcement, and that's why it matters. Japan's working-age population fell from about 87 million in 1995 to about 73.7 million in 2024, and researchers project a shortfall of roughly 11 million workers by 2040. This video shows how Japan is responding with robots, autonomous vehicles, chips, satellites, and drones, and where the plans still face hard limits. 🤖 In this video: • Waymo, Nihon Kotsu, and GO preparing driverless taxis for Tokyo in 2027 • Humanoid robots at Haneda, Toyota, Kawasaki, and Mitsubishi • Japan's i-Construction program and its 2040 targets • Rapidus and the race to 2-nanometer chips • The H3 rocket and the Michibiki satellite network • The Chuo Shinkansen maglev and why it's delayed • Disaster drones from KDDI and Japan Post • The real challenges: costs, safety rules, and competition from China ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 Japan's quiet technology shock 3:00 The population problem driving everything 5:20 Driverless taxis in Tokyo 8:00 Humanoid robots enter Japanese workplaces 12:40 Robots and the construction labor gap 15:00 Rapidus and the 2nm chip comeback 17:40 Michibiki satellites and the H3 rocket 20:20 The maglev that floats at 500 km/h 22:20 Drones and disaster response 24:20 Real challenges and global competition 27:00 The verdict ⚠️ This video is based on real events and published sources, including Waymo, Rapidus, The Japan Times, Nikkei, Railway Gazette, NHK, and Humanoid Guide. Items such as the Tokyo robotaxi launch, the Mitsubishi robot target, Rapidus mass production, and the maglev opening are plans or targets, not completed results. 👍 If you enjoyed this, like the video and subscribe to TOKYONEX for more stories about how Japan is building the future. 💬 If you could choose one Japanese technology to appear in your own city first, would it be driverless taxis, humanoid workers, or disaster drones?
