Do you freeze when you speak English for more than a few seconds? Practise English listening with an intermediate story (B1–B2) about a simple fluency habit: talk for one minute every day. Listen 3 times — with subtitles, with missing words, and with no subtitles. 🎧 How to use this video (3 listening passes): 1️⃣ Part 1 — listen and read the subtitles. Blue words are the key words. 2️⃣ Part 2 — the key words are hidden. Listen and find the missing words, then check the answers. 3️⃣ Part 3 — no subtitles. Just listen. How much do you understand now? 🗣️ Then speak: pause after any line, take 5 seconds, and say it out loud. ⏱️ Chapters 0:00 Intro: how to practise 0:22 Part 1: Listen and read (subtitles) 3:43 Part 2: Find the missing words 7:19 Part 3: Just listen (no subtitles) 10:41 Recap and final message 🗣️ Useful English phrases • My mind goes blank. — I suddenly can't think of anything • I'd like you to give a presentation. — a polite way to ask someone to do something • I'm desperate. — I really need help • Let me think… — buy time when you need a moment • Another thing is… — add a new idea and keep talking • to run out of words — to have nothing more to say • to carry on — to continue • It really adds up. — small amounts become a lot over time 💬 Comment the missing words from Part 2!
