I Took Over Darlington in FM27… This Might Actually Work!

⚽ I’ve taken over Darlington FC in Football Manager 2027 — and our first signs are surprisingly promising! But rebuilding a lower-league club isn't straightforward. We need new players, a tactical identity and a squad that can actually compete. Can we turn Darlington into a genuine promotion contender? 🔥 In Episode 1: We assess Darlington's squad and finances. Sanderson, O'Donoghue, Dawson and Marwa arrive as our first signings. We experiment with attacking football, exploiting the width and getting crosses into the box. We test swapping our wingers during matches — with some interesting results! A promising centre-back trialist, Diomande, gives us a big decision to make. This is the beginning of our FM27 Darlington career, building from the lower leagues with the ambition of taking the club as far as possible. 💬 YOUR DECISION: Would you take a chance on Diomande, or keep searching for another centre-back?
