Trains at Newcastle featuring 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ (23/09/26)

Another video back at Newcastle Central Station for an afternoon of trainspotting on a Wednesday afternoon! This time, my Mum did this session while I was at college as she came here to see the Flying Scotsman which was running back to Newcastle again after a disastrous Christmas Tour last year. It did come to Newcastle but didn't stay for long despite the severe delay as a coach coupling fault happened where the Mk1 Support Coach couldn't couple to the Mk3s and the generator coach failed aswell. This time, it was better as Flying Scotsman was hauling Mk2 Coaches instead of Mk3s. It didn't start quite well as the weather was miserable until time was close when Flying Scotsman was close to arrive in Newcastle. It glided in slowly past an Azuma as it slowly came to a stop. It looked stunning to see in Newcastle as it gathered a huge crowd for photos. Some steam was coming out of it's cylinders. It looked amazing to see it at our local station in Newcastle. We also saw LNER Azuma liveries Together, Darlington, and the Lumo Pride livery, Even 2 more Cross Country Voyagers in the new livery. and many Northern Class 156s and 158s doing their services to Carlisle, Ashington and beyond. The 37 on the back of the tour looked amazing as it was heading to Tyne Yard to make Scotsman lead there as the 37 would lead it back in for the return journey. It departed with thrash as Scotsman pushed with steam coming out of its cylinders and funnel as it reversed away. My mum then was picked up by me and dad as we headed home. Shoutout to my Mum to getting the Scotsman! In this Video, we see 10 Northern Trains, 8 LNER Trains, 2 Transpennine Express Trains, 1 Cross Country Trains and 1 Lumo Train. Lots of action as usual.
