Azumas and more at Very Busy Carlisle 19 September 2026

Saturday 19th September was very busy at Carlisle Citadel station. LNER Anglo-Scottish services were running between Newcastle and Edinburgh via Carlisle to allow engineering works, some just north of Newcastle. The odd engineer's ballast train also squeezed in along the Tyne Valley taking ballast to Manors and the permanent way work. Northern Belle came too but its stops in the station were shorter than usual to free up platforms. The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
