Murasame Type 95 NCO Gunto Review

After rambling for around 6 minutes about the unloved (by me) Japanese Type 95 NCO sword as compared to the commissioned officers' swords, I get to reviewing this most excellent replica from Murasame Swords. For martial arts purposes, I'm going to say this sword is much better for use than an original: Solid Brass Tsuka with excellent casting quality and a blackened copper patina; T10 Clay Tempered blade with a 60 HRC edge; wood-lined scabbard. Very solid, well balanced and well put together. And contrary to my fears, that lock doesn't really get in the way (in fact, I kind of like it). Also, another great experience with Swan over at Murasame Swords. Definitely makes my trusted dealer list.
