Prelude No 1

This is the first of my "Seven Preludes." At some point it disappeared from my channel, so I've taken the time to re-record it. It is written in a polytonal style loosely grouped around the keys of A-major and B-flat, and tonal centers congenial to one or both keys. I have rewritten the ending so that the piece ends, after a good bit of modulation, uncompromisingly in A-major. The dynamic and phrasal markings are discretionary; I myself have recorded this with a crescendo instead of a decrescendo at the close. (c) 2024-2026 by Howard Burchfield.
