I Finished My First 60 Mile Ride!

I got into biking 4 months ago and decided I wanted to work my way up to riding a long event. When I found out that Tour De Corn advertised that it was the "flattest century" I thought it would make the perfect candidate! I didn't feel that I was ready for a proper century, but a metric century (60ish miles) sounded possible! Me and some friends signed up together and made a weekend out of it! We got rained on (a lot). We ate copious amounts of corn on the cob. I introduced my friends to moon pies (not impressed). My awning got destroyed in the storm. We had an absolute blast!!! Can't wait to do it again next year! This time a full century!
