This is the last of 6 specially painted and named Norfolk Southern locomotives celebrating the 250th anniversary of the USA. The catch was on the unit's fifth day of revenue service! Other trains were caught at New Castle, where we see BNSF power leading an intermodal and cars shining in perfect afternoon sun. At Bluffton and Warren Indiana, we caught the New Era Railroad- a line new to the channel! Big thanks to JT Rail Photography for the tip that the New Era was pulling cars out from a grain elevator customer, Salamonie Mills!    / @jtrailphotography   Also new to the channel- the Norfolk Southern OCS train, with two Union Pacific cars attached at the end. The speculation is that UP brass joined NS for the annual inspection runs. Cool to see this gleaming, spotless train running on the New Castle District! The Office Car Special was led by two NS locomotives painted in their Landmark scheme- NS 8183 Chicago, and NS 1230 Birmingham! Oh yeah!
