Mario T. 所 眞理雄 (vo), Yuichi Narita 成田祐一 (pf) Composed in 1966 as a bolero by Jay Livingston, Percy Faith, and Ray Evans for the film "Oscar", it feels like the very epitome of film music. Bill Evans and Tony Bennett transformed this beautiful piece into a magnificent ballad on their 1977 album "Together Again". Nearly 50 years later, this song has lost none of its luster.　 The song goes, “Maybe by September I’ll be able to love someone again." I absolutely love this song and have sung it several times; with each performance, I’ve come to understand its beauty even more deeply. This time, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to sing with the exquisite performances of Yuichi Narita, and the result is a truly wonderful piece. I hope you’ll all enjoy listening to it. Recorded on October 1, 2026 at Velera, Akasaka. 　もともとは 1966年の映画 OscarためにJay Livingston/Percy Faith/Ray Evansによって作られたボレロの曲で、これぞ典型的な映画音楽と言った感じです。この美しい曲を、Bill EvansとTony Bennettが1977年の彼らのアルバム Together Again で素晴らしいバラードの曲に変身させました。それから50年近くたっても色あせないこの曲。「9月になればまた誰かを愛せるようになるかもしれない。」と歌います。私はこの歌が大好きで、何度か歌ってきていますが、歌う度にこの曲の良さが深く理解できるようになりました。今回、成田祐一さんの珠玉の演奏と共にこの曲を歌う機会に恵まれ、素晴らしい作品に仕上がりました。皆様にお聴きいただければ幸いです。2026年10月1日、赤坂見附Veleraにて収録。 #mariot #yuichinarita #maybeseptember #jaylivingston #percyfaith #rayevans #velera
