Leaving Jehovah’s Witnesses didn’t just change what I believed. It changed the way I watched movies, made friends, thought about church—and lived an ordinary life. Five years later, I’m still recognizing the things I had to relearn. This is the first episode of Down the Mountain with Rachel—honest conversations about questioning, leaving, and rebuilding life after Jehovah’s Witnesses and high-control religion. In this episode, I’m talking about movies, friendships, going to church, random Witness conditioning that still surfaces, and what I would tell someone who is just beginning to find their way. I’m sharing my own experience, not telling anyone what to believe. Please protect your privacy when commenting.
