The Railgun might be better than ever vs Automatons | Helldivers 2 - Solo No Deaths Max Difficulty

I haven't used the railgun in forever in Helldivers 2. It's even more useful now because of the buffed gunships and war strider hip joint being medium armor. It kind of feels like a strong primary weapon, but also wasteful to use it against devastators. With the supply pack it feels less wasteful but definitely pick a stronger primary weapon. Explosive primaries like the Eruptor or Exploding crossbow is probably the best pick for this loadout. While you can destroy bot fabricators with the railgun with enough persistence, I wouldn't recommend it at all because it takes too long. Use whatever method you prefer to destroy fabricators that isn't the railgun. I used the anti tank emplacement but the EAT or Commando is a good alternative. I forgot to change the secondary to the ultimatum. Definitely makes more sense to use the ultimatum than the missile pistol with this because the railgun can do anything the missile pistol can but better.
