Rock Ballad about how, as parents, we lift up our kids and try to teach them all that we can, watch them growing into young adults and then, the sudden realisation that we have become strangers looking back at ourselves in the mirror, grey-haired and old, and that our kids have become the parents we once were now that they have their own kids.

[Verse 1]
Concrete cracks under our heavy boots
We live life deep down at the roots
Hard times hit like a freight train rolling through
Got bills to pay and hard things left to do
Through the dust and the grind we stand tall
Yeah we live our best life after all
[Verse 2]
Watch our kids grow up day by day
From little kids running and chasing play
Into fine young people standing strong
Singing the chorus of a brand new song
And the worry never fades away
Growing up doesn't mean it's okay
No matter how old they get in years
A mother carries all the hidden tears
[Chorus]
Deep bond unbroken, fierce and true
Between a mother and the child she knew
And the father goes from playmate on the floor
To the teacher standing by the open door
Guiding every step through the dark and light
Holding onto love with all our might
[Bridge]
Time keeps turning like a spinning wheel
And looking in the mirror doesn't feel real
Silver in the hair, slower on our feet
Walking down a slower, stranger street
We see the younger selves we used to be
Fading away behind the grey and sea
[Guitar Solo]
[Heavy Breakdown]
[Tempo Shift]
[Outro]
Still we carry on
Still we carry on
Through the fading glass
We live our best life till the end
Yeah, till the end
[Fade Out]
