"His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, presided over the groundbreaking ceremony of Jampal Gyepai Dangden, a sacred Stupa being built in Gelephu Mindfulness City. Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, the Royal Patron of the project, also attended the ceremony. The Stupa, a project undertaken by His Holiness, is dedicated to Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom. Its name translates to The Radiant, Joyful Smile of Manjushri, evoking the serene smile of wisdom that brings peace and blessings to all who visit, circumambulate, or behold it. The project honours a centuries-old spiritual connection between the Karma Kagyu tradition and Mount Wutai, the sacred abode of Manjushri in China.
