A wandering mountain ascetic walks a cedar forest road from autumn into the first snow. Following him is Inoshishi (猪), the Japanese wild boar, imagined here as the old king of its kind: unhurried, calm and protective. Twelve chapters move from a mossy stream and soft rain to a moonlit ravine, high mist, a still pool and an open valley at dawn. Each chapter plays in two connected variations.
Best for
Falling asleep or resting with your eyes closed
Meditation and breathing practice
Reading, journaling and quiet study
Deep focus sessions and background for work
Unwinding in the evening
Listening tips
Play at a soft, comfortable volume. Headphones and small speakers both work well. For sleep, set a timer so playback stops by itself. The long silences are part of the music, not gaps in the file. If a passage feels very quiet, give it a minute; the heartbeat returns.
