Here is an aircraft I built from scratch for X-Plane 11. I am almost satisfied with the flight model, although I suspect there may be a bug in X-Plane at the moment where the glide ratio is slightly overcooked with around 10-20 % with power off; it could be that the windmilling prop isn't producing enough drag.
The textures are work in progress, and bits and pieces are being added. Today I added a fuel selector switch (visible near the end of the video) and added custom LUA script for it. By default X-Plane has a four position selector for light aircraft (off, left, right & both). By creating custom data references and linking these up to my manipulators and animations in the cockpit, I am able to switch between the off and both positions and bypass the left and right options. This is necessary as I have my fuel pump and inverter connected to the battery switch. Using the default X-Plane dataref bogus numbers are generated for the tanks that aren't there, and it messes with my intended start-up procedure. Using the lightweight xLUA framework my script makes the starting procedure fairly realistic, and I can have the engine up and running with four mouse clicks ;-)
The video has not been edited, and there is no pilot object in the aircraft at the moment.
