I Found the Redfish… But They REFUSED to Eat

The tide was FALLING FAST, and my original redfish game plan disappeared right along with the water! I started the day trying to reach a few shallow ponds, but with the water dropping quicker than expected, Plan A wasn't going to last long. Instead of wasting the day trying to force it, I pulled up my fishing map, found some new water, and went looking for redfish. We found them—but then came an even bigger problem. I could SEE the reds, put the bait right in front of their faces, and they absolutely REFUSED to eat! At some point, you have to make a decision: keep changing baits and trying to force those fish to bite, or leave fish to go find fish. That decision completely changed the day. Along the way, we landed some beautiful Louisiana redfish, including a 29-inch, 10+ pound red, and even crossed paths with an absolute MONSTER black drum! This trip was a perfect reminder that successful redfishing isn't always about having the perfect spot.
