The CNN investigation into the "rape academy" is one piece of it. The Epstein files, the public figures who minimize sexual violence, the daily stressors of ordinary life, all of it compounds. Whether you are feeling it strongly, feeling a little off, or not sure what you are feeling at all, this video is for you. When you are a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, or any kind of trauma, there is already an inherent layer of vulnerability you are carrying every day. When news like the CNN reporting surfaces, those layers compound. Not one on top of the other. Exponentially. And that is before we add in the ordinary things like poor sleep, stress, caregiving, or trying to hold boundaries in your daily life. In this video, I am not rehashing what is in the CNN reporting. There is plenty of that elsewhere. Instead, I want to presence what this moment actually means for survivors, why you might be feeling raw, shut down, or returning to old coping patterns, and what self-care can realistically look like when everything feels like too much. This is the reminder I think many of us need right now, including me. In this video, I cover: ✨ why survivors are feeling especially vulnerable right now ✨ how layers of vulnerability compound (and why that is not a weakness) ✨ why struggling right now does not mean you are going backward in your healing ✨ realistic self-care when you are depleted or in crisis ✨ why connection matters, even when you want to pull back If you are a survivor of childhood trauma or sexual abuse and the weight of all of this has been landing on you, please know you are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with you for feeling what you are feeling. Let me know in the comments: What has been coming up for you, and what is helping you take care of yourself right now? ------------------ Links for other resources from Peggy Helpful Resources https://courageousjourneys.com/cjlinks Returning to Wholeness Journal Course for Healing Childhood Trauma https://courageousjourneys.com/course...
