If My Life Were a Movie | Music, Perfume & Everyday Scenes

Sometimes I take a step back from an ordinary moment in my life and imagine it as a scene from a movie. I start noticing the set design, the dialogue, the clothes, the lighting and the music. Things I might otherwise overlook suddenly seem worth paying attention to. Making videos for this channel has allowed me to blur the line between my actual, lived life and a movie I'm directing. I choose the music to complement the atmosphere of the places and moments I'm sharing with you, which is partly why I consider my album Morning Moon to be a soundtrack to my life in a very literal sense. I'm so happy that some of you have been listening to the album and allowing it to become part of the background scenery of your own lives. Have a very Backrooms moment at Office Depot I've also decided to choose a fragrance for every song on Morning Moon. I'm starting with the opening track, 6 o'Clock, which was inspired by the beginning of the day and my early morning walks with the pugs. My choice is Angir by Boris Bidjan Saberi, created by perfumer Geza Schoen. It captures something of the damp eucalyptus trees in the park, the fig tree in my back garden and the citrusy glow of the rising sun. It's very close to the atmosphere I had in mind when I made the song. I'll continue pairing fragrances with the other tracks on the album in upcoming videos. I'm curious to see where this takes me.
