Alki Beach Park is a popular 135.9-acre West Seattle destination offering a 2.5-mile sandy shoreline with stunning views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and the Seattle skyline. Known as the first public salt-water beach on the west coast, it features a paved trail, bonfires, beach volleyball, and close proximity to restaurants and a lighthouse. Things to Do Relax & Walk: Enjoy a 0.5-mile sandy stretch for sunbathing and a paved path for biking/jogging. Bonfires: Use the designated fire pits on a first-come, first-served basis. Note: Fire pits are currently removed and disallowed until the 2026 season. Volleyball: Seven reservable volleyball courts and one drop-in court. Sightseeing: Visit the Alki Point Lighthouse (summer weekend tours), the Statue of Liberty replica, and the Birthplace of Seattle monument. Water Activities: Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available via Alki Kayak Tours at nearby Seacrest Park. Dining: Enjoy nearby restaurants like Duke's Seafood or Salty's on Alki for waterfront dining. Amenities & Rules Facilities: Public restrooms, picnic tables, and benches are available. Parking: Free street parking is generally available. Accessibility: The beach is popular for its accessible, flat, paved trail. Water Conditions: The water is cold and suitable for saltwater bathing in the summer, though it is primarily a scenic spot. Views: Panoramic views of the Seattle skyline and, on clear days, Mount Rainier. Getting There Water Taxi: The King County Water Taxi from downtown Seattle (Pier 50) to Seacrest Park is a fast, scenic option. Bus/Drive: Accessible via King County Metro bus lines and a ~15-minute drive from downtown. #statefair #puyallupfair #fair #washingtonstatefair #2026 #asianfamilymarket #tukwila #grocery randopening #asiangrocery #southcenter #chinese #taiwanese #asian #japanese #supermarket #uwajimaya #shopping #outlet #walmart #travel #shopping #shop #closing #federalway #federalwaywa ##closure #seattle #washingtonstate #fredmeyer #kent #grocery #market #supermarket #food #foodie #mall #closing #summer #2025 #finalsale
