This is the one you don't undo. The shims are verified, the Kelford 208-B cams go in for the last time, and the cam caps get torqued down in sequence. After this the top end is closed and the 3UZ-FE V8 starts looking like a finished engine. 26 shims across both heads were set and confirmed in Ep.10. This episode picks up from there — cams in, scissor gear assembly fitted, cam caps seated and torqued in the correct sequence. No shortcuts on the torque sequence on this engine — the cam caps on the 3UZ-FE are numbered and directional, and getting them wrong or skipping the sequence cracks housings. 💡 CAM CAP TORQUE SEQUENCE — 3UZ-FE: The cam caps on the 3UZ-FE are numbered 1–5 per head and must go back in the correct position and orientation — they are not interchangeable. Torque progressively in a cross pattern working from centre outward. Jumping straight to final torque or working end to end risks uneven loading and housing damage. Always follow the factory sequence. 📐 BUILD SPEC: Cams: Kelford 208-B Duration: 264° intake / 258° exhaust Lift: 9.60mm intake / 9.50mm exhaust Shims installed: 26 total — both heads Clearances: Set and verified Ep.10 Valve springs: Kelford KVS1UZ (Ep.9) 📸 FOLLOW THE BUILD: Instagram: @axlworks #3UZFE #KelfordCams #CamInstall #ToyotaV8 #BMWE82 #EngineRebuild #208B #FinalAssembly #V8Build #CamTorque #GarageBuilt #ScissorGear
