A Promise for Wales | Dan Jones

Dan Jones was a Welsh convert, missionary, and one of the most influential missionaries of the early Latter-day Saint movement. On the final night of Joseph Smith’s life in Carthage Jail, Jones was with the Prophet. Joseph reportedly told him that he would yet return to Wales and fulfill the mission appointed to him. Jones left Carthage the following morning—and survived the attack that killed Joseph and Hyrum. Dan returned to his homeland and became a remarkable missionary, helping bring thousands of Welsh converts into the Church. Joseph’s final words to him became a promise fulfilled: He would see Wales again. Every saint has a story. Because history remembers a few... but heaven remembers them all.
