Forget the goblet, strive for the nectar contained within! چند باشی عاشق صورت بگو طالب معنیٰ شو و معنیٰ بجو بتا تو صورت کا عاشق کب تک بنا رھے گا؟ معنیٰ (حقیقت/باطن) کا طلبگار بن اور معنیٰ کی تلاش کر۔۔ How long shall you lust after external appearances? Become an admirer of the meanings that hide within, seek those instead غیر حق را جملگی برباد کن کُلِّ شَیٌٔ ھالِكٌ را یاد کن غیر حق یعنی ہر ماسوا اللّہ کو ترک کر۔۔ کُلّ شٙئِِ ھالکُُ ہر ایک نے فنا ہونا ھے کو یاد کر۔۔ Destroy all traces of everything except the Almighty Remember the creed "All things must perish" چند باشی در نقاب اعتبار ایں صدف را بشکن و گوہر بر آر تو کب تک اعتبار (قابل یقین ہونے) کے نقاب میں رھے گا؟ اس سیپی کو توڑ اور موتی کو حاصل کر۔۔ How long shall you remain entangled in the veils of false belief? Break open this shell and retrieve the pearl within تا توئی کہ یار گردد یارِ تو چون نباشی یار باشد یارِ تو جب تو خود اپنا یار بن جائے گا ۔۔ جب تو اپنی نفی کردے گا تو یار(اللہ پاک) تیرا یار بن جائے گا۔۔ If you want the Beloved to accept you into his fold Destroy yourself, then the Beloved shall become yours تو مباش اصلاً کمال اینست و بس رو درو گم شو وصال اینست و بس اصل کمال یہ ھے کہ تو نہ رھے۔۔ جا اور اس میں گم/فنا ہو جا یہ ہی وصال ھے۔۔ There should be nought left of You, that is the acme of excellence Go and lose yourself in Him, that is the consummation most devoutly to be wished قطرہ اندر بحر گردد نا پدید که توان او را جدا از بحر دید قطرہ سمندر میں چھپا ہوتا ھےیعنی دکھائی نہیں دیتا۔۔ تو کیسے اسے سمندر سے جدا دیکھے۔۔ When a drop falls into the ocean, it becomes invisible Your eyes can not percieve its existence separate from the sea چند گردی بے خبر اے بوالہوس بعد نفیِ خویش کن اثباتِ حق اے بوالہوس/دنیادار تو کب تلک بیخبر رھے گا؟ پہلے اپنی ذات کی نفی کر اور اسکے بعد اقرار حق کر۔۔ O worldly wise fool, how long shall you remain unaware? That the acclamation of Truth can only occur after the annihilation of Self خودی کفر است نفی خویش کن زود کہ جز حق در حقیقت نیست موجود خودی یعنی کہ میں کفر ھے جلد از جلد اپنی نفی کر۔۔ کیونکہ در حقیقت جز حق اور کوئی موجود نہیں ھے۔۔( وہ ہی وجود قدیم ھے۔۔ ) Recognizing your Self as an indepenent entity is heresy, destroy this impression at once! For in truth, nothing else exists except the infallible Truth of the Almighty چون حباب از قید خود وا میشود راست می گویم کہ دریا می شود جب بلبلہ اپنی قید سے آزاد ہو جاتا ھے (یعنی اپنی ھستی سے گزر جاتا ھے)۔۔ میں سچ کہتا ہوں پھر وہ دریا بن جاتا ھے The day a bubble breaks the walls of its own existence It truly becomes one with the mighty, flowing river تیغ لا بر قتل غیر حق براند در نگر زان بس کہ بعدِ لا چہ ماند اس نے تیغ لا ماسوا اللّہ پر چلا دی۔۔... غور کر؛ دیکھ اب تیغِ لا کے چل جانے کیبعد کیا بچا۔ Draw the sword of "nought" against everything except the one Truth And observe, what is left after the sword has done its wrought its destruction? Nought ! معنی آن باشد کہ بستاند ترا بے نیاز از نقش گرداند ترا معنی وہ ھے جو تجھے خود میں جذب کر کے نقش سے بینیاز کر دے۔۔ ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ معنی وہ ھے جو بغیر ادائیگی الفاظ کے تیرے دل میں جگہ بنا لے The true meanings are those that make you submerge within yourself And those that make you oblivious to all obvious appearances معنی آن نبود کہ کور و کر کند مر ترا بر نقش عاشق تر کند معنی وہ نہیں جو تجھ کو اندھا اور بہرہ کر دے۔۔۔۔ اور تجھے صورت کا زیادہ عاشق بنا دے (یعنی وہ نہیں جو حقیقت سے غافل بنا دے)۔۔ Those meanings are false that render you deaf and dumb And make you a lustful idolator who only seeks beauty without صورت ظاہر فنا گردد بدان عالم معنی بماند جاودان خوب جان لے کہ ظاہری صورت کو فنا ھے..... جبکہ باطن کا عالم ھمیشہ قائم رھے گا۔۔ Understand this, that external beauty is doomed to fade While the true hidden meanings shall remain forever گفت اَل٘مَع٘نیٰ ھُوَ اللہ شیخِ دین بحر معنی ہاست رِبُّ ال٘عٰلَمِی٘ن فرمایا شیخ دین نے کہ باطن/معنی/حقیقت اللّہ ہی کی ھے۔۔ رب العٰلمین ہی معنویت اور معنی کے سمندر بیکراں ہیں۔۔ The wise one said "Allah is the only Truth, the only hidden secret" "He is an ocean of meaning, master of both the worlds" ------------------------------- #golrasharif #golrasharifqawali #hajimehbobaliqawal #qawwali #qawali
