My First Trail Run Nearly Ended Face First | Cathedral Tree Trail | Ep 10

After having way too much fun running down the sand dunes at Cape Kiwanda, I figured I'd give trail running a shot. How hard could it be? For my first trail run, I tackled Cathedral Tree Trail in Astoria, Oregon. The plan was simple: run uphill to the Astoria Column, enjoy the views, and cruise back downhill. Of course, things didn't go exactly as planned. A trail closure meant taking a little detour, I somehow convinced myself to run up the Astoria Column's spiral staircase, and just before finishing, I nearly took a face-first dive into the trail. Fortunately, I managed to stay on my feet. My dignity is another story. Was my first attempt at trail running a success? I made it back in one piece, so I'm counting it.
