Future City Map, FCDA Map, 4th City Map, Future City Development Authority, AI City. Contact:93904 87807 Hyderabad's "Future City" is a visionary project spanning approximately 30,000 acres, designed to foster sustainable urban development and technological innovation. The land allocation within this expansive area is strategically divided to support various sectors: Electronics & General Industries: 4,774 acres Life Science Hub: 4,207 acres Residential & Mixed-Use Zones: 2,330 acres Sports Hub: 761 acres AI City: 297 acres Health City: 370 acres Young India Skill University: 454 acres These allocations underscore the project's commitment to creating a balanced urban environment that integrates industrial growth with residential, educational, and recreational facilities. Land Acquisition and Development Progress: Of the total 30,000 acres designated for Future City, approximately 13,973 acres were previously acquired during the earlier Pharma City initiative and have now been repurposed for this project. Efforts are underway to acquire the remaining land through a land pooling initiative, focusing on areas surrounding Meerkhanpet village. A 330-foot greenfield road is planned to connect this core area to Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road (ORR) and Regional Ring Road (RRR), enhancing accessibility. Budgetary Considerations: In the 2025-26 annual budget, the Telangana government allocated ₹2,654 crore for the Future City project. However, only ₹18 crore has been earmarked for land acquisition, raising concerns about the feasibility of acquiring the necessary land for development. Infrastructure Development: To support the connectivity needs of Future City, plans are in place to expedite land acquisition for metro rail links between Hyderabad Airport and the new development. This initiative aims to ensure seamless transportation and bolster the city's infrastructure. In summary, the land allocation for Hyderabad's Future City reflects a strategic approach to urban planning, emphasizing a harmonious blend of industrial, residential, educational, and recreational spaces. While significant progress has been made in land acquisition and planning, budgetary allocations and infrastructure development remain critical factors for the project's successful realization.
