(1) if f and g are inverses, then the (a, b) point on the graph of the f function is the (b, a) point on the graph of the g function.
(2) if you want to find the inverse of f, swap the x and y variables and then solve for y; the resulting y is the inverse of f.
(3) if f and g are inverses, then f(g(x))=g(f(x))=x. In other words, the g function "undoes" what the f function "does".
